Our laboratories are located within the University of Minnesota Medical School, Duluth and Twin Cities campuses. Research programs conducted within our laboratories seek to identify psychophysiological, neurobiological, and behavioral mechanisms mediating effects of stress and trauma on addictive behaviors (tobacco, alcohol, and khat), and chronic diseases (obesity and hypertension). Our approach is transdisciplinary, and our collaborators include experts in multiple fields of medicine, physiology, pharmacology, and behavioral sciences.
